The hostel is named "Strandburg Silbersee" ("Beachcastle Silverlake") is located just a few kilometers outside of Vienna, upstream and near the banks of the river Danube. It is known as a favorite meeting place for education camps, seminars and meetings, in summer as well as in winter. 

The house with its auxiliary locations in the garden is newly done up. There are sleeping accommodations for up to 32 people, mostly bunk beds distributed over a number of sleeping rooms. Further can be found several sitting- or meeting rooms and 4000 square meters of garden, which can be used for camping. 2 fully equipped kitchens, showers, sufficient washrooms and lavatories and central heating are available. Barbecue and camp fire place is in the garden.

It is an excellent place for youth groups who want to visit Vienna, pleasantly located in the midst of the Vienna Woods just half an hour away per public train from the very center of Vienna. Public trains run more than once per hour from Höflein to Wien-Heiligenstadt, Wien-Mitte and Wien Franz Josefs Bahnhof.

The house can be rented by youth groups who must provide for themselves.
